Informed Consent
Intake forms containing your personal contact information along with your current and past health conditions are required at this establishment. All client information is always protected as per federal HIPAA guidelines and will remain confidential as provided by federal and state laws. Massage therapy is directed by the State of Florida's Board of Massage Therapy, a division of the Department of Health listing Massage Therapist as licensed healthcare providers. At times, massage therapy is not recommended for certain health conditions or could worsen the symptoms of some health conditions and diseases. Massage therapy is not meant to replace healthcare provided by a licensed medical physician. Our massage therapist reserve the right to reschedule a session to any client they feel is unfit for any session.
Sexual Misconduct
There is nothing sexual about massage therapy. Our massage therapists are medical healthcare professionals. Yes, massage is a very intimate feeling of trust and open communication between you and your therapist. Any solicitations of unlicensed and/or unethical activities will be promptly reported to the authorities, as well as immediate termination of session and twice the amount of the full session will be collected at the time of departure.
It is our intention to provide you with a professional therapeutic massage session. The following informational policies and procedures serve as a guide for our first-time and established regular clients of Therapeutic Massage of Venice.
Late Arrivals
We ask that you arrive to your session time 5-10 minutes early to ensure a proper start time for your full session time of 30, 60, 90 minutes sessions. We regret that late arrivals will not receive extension of scheduled session times. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full session. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival.
No Shows
It is important to remember your sessions have been booked within your therapist's specific schedule to assist you meet your goals. "No show" clients will be responsible for the full value of their booked session or forfeiting an unused session from a package. Please review this policy at your time of booking for further details. Reoccurring "No Show" situations, could result in prepayment or a credit card used to secure the session time. This will include same day bookings.
Packages, Gift Certificates & Vouchers
As stated by Florida State law, all Gift Certificates purchased at TMV are always valid and do not expire, but are subjected to the actual value at the time of purchase. Vouchers received as part of a donation do have an expiration date, please review the actual voucher for that information. TMV is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced gift certificates or vouchers. All certificates and vouchers must be surrendered at the time of the session. There is no cash value to any package, certificate or voucher. TMV reserves the right to state final decision.
Refunds
It is our policy to not issue refunds. This includes purchases for individual sessions, packages, certificates or vouchers. There is no cash value to any package, certificate or voucher issued by Therapeutic Massage of Venice. In the event you are unsatisfied with your session for any reason, please inform your therapist as soon as possible. We will uphold our promise to provide you with quality care from our team of therapist and we will match you with another therapist to help you meet your goals. TMV reserves this right to state final decision.

Cancelations
In the event you need to cancel any appointment, with less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, a fee for untimely canceled appointments will be determined by the individual therapist. Please review this policy at your time of booking. For an out-call session or a hosted massage party will also require 24 hours notice of the scheduled appointment time. Charges to the credit card used to secure the appointment will be charged $40 per therapist assigned to your session or party. This includes appointment booked and canceled in the same day.
